We know how much a piano can mean to any pianist or family, and we would like to know more about the one you have as you look to own one of ours. We will determine its value and offer you a fair amount to credit towards your purchase. With us, your piano will take on a new life as we work with partners in the community to make music-making more accessible.
Why choose restored
Refinement
We use our experience as craftsmen and pianists to create an instrument that transcends its original manufacture. Every component in our pianos is from the best possible sources available. This may include the manufacturer in some instances; however, we draw on a number of highly specialized companies whose abilities and products we believe to be superior. Our pianos are restored by hand to achieve the best touch, tone and timbre for the pianist and to counter one size fits all approaches to factory built pianos.
Our Commitment
Our guarantee and the relationship we build with our clients means your piano will be the source of music-making and enjoyment for generations and receive the best care during that time. Your piano includes a commitment from us to help maintain and protect it, giving you peace of mind that it will always be in its finest form.
Sustainability
The manufacturing of pianos produces a significant carbon footprint and draw on the world’s natural resources. Forging the cast iron plate found in every piano can release as much as 1.5 tons of CO2. Furthermore, the specific lumber used in piano building such as maple, beech, mahogany and spruce is no longer widely available. Finally, the current trend in piano refinishing uses a highly toxic polyester compound as a means for mass-production. Our pianos eliminate or limit the environmental costs by reusing these components in most instances and using non-toxic adhesives and finishes with even better results.
Craftsmanship
Our pianos are restored completely by hand by only one or two experienced artisans. Each process of the restoration is therefore highly controlled and focused on the final product. Whereas the assembly line approach of manufacturers and resellers is necessary for producing pianos at scale, it inevitably causes shortcomings in quality. We intentionally maintain a small inventory so that every piano is crafted without compromise.
