The Summer Festival is an artists-founded and run project bringing for the first time live classical, jazz, and world music to the streets of Ridgewick (Bushwick/Ridgewood).
Crafted out of the desire of resident artists to create a much deeper connection with their community and a platform to share their craft, the Summer Festival is hosted by the Nuernberger & Co., a piano workshop which offers vintage pianos completely rebuilt to their original condition.
The artists line-up will feature an interconnection between musical traditions, artist practices and time periods with a spotlight aimed in particular to under-represented voices.
The Summer Festival is made possible by the support of NYC SBS, City Council Districts 34 and 37.
